What the hell kind of spider is this??

I had made a certain amount of peace with the spiders in my environment. As long as the really big house spiders stay away (or at a bare minimum out of site) I won’t go all psycho on their creepy asses.

This spring my garden is crawling with them. Pun intended. I have not screamed once. They scurry about their business and as long as they leave my growing goodies alone, we’re all good.

Today, I found this thing on my poor baby apple tree that is a tad sickly. Sorry. I know the picture is crappy. It’s a white spider with reddish “racing stripes” on either side of it’s abdomen. It crawled up on the leaf and assumed an attack position. Either that or it’s trying to tan it’s backside.

WHAT THE HELL IS IT? Is it just a regular spider that has gone all “Gandalf the White” or what??
